THE STORY OF A CAKE SMASH SESSION

Held in my Los Angeles County studio, it all begins with a beautifully decorated cake, innocently waiting to fulfill its destiny. Layers of sweet, creamy frosting, adorned with colorful sprinkles, sit temptingly on the table.

Enter the star of the show: Baby!

With wide eyes and a mischievous grin, baby is introduced to the cake, perhaps for the very first time. What follows is a delightful display of curiosity and wonder as tiny fingers reach out to touch the frosting, feeling its texture between soft, chubby fingers.

At first, there might be a moment of hesitation, a glance at the parents as if seeking approval. Then, with a burst of excitement, baby dives in!

POOR CAKE

Frosting flies, sprinkles scatter, and laughter fills the air as baby gleefully smashes into the cake, exploring its taste and texture with uninhibited joy. It's a messy affair, but oh-so-fun!

For the photographer, it's a joy to capture these candid moments of pure delight. The expressions of surprise, delight, and sometimes even a little mischief, are priceless treasures frozen in time.

As the cake smash session unfolds, parents join in on the fun, cheering on their little one and capturing memories that will last a lifetime. It's a celebration of baby's first birthday, marked by laughter, mess, and a whole lot of love.

And so, with cake crumbs on cheeks and frosting in hair, the cake smash session comes to an end. Baby, thoroughly satisfied with the adventure, is scooped up into loving arms for a warm, bubbly bath to wash away the sweet evidence of the delightful mess.

Messy but fun, indeed!

Cake Smash Sessions are generally best done around 11 months.
